Who are we?

Formed in January 2004, Tibbs and Simmons provide veterinary services for farm animals in the North of Somerset. We currently have seven Veterinary Surgeons operating from our base at Redhill. Our dedicated farm animal vets aim to provide a personal service to the highest standards.

We are aware that continuity of veterinary care is an important requirement for farmers. We believe in building professional relationships with our farmers. This enables us to understand the specific requirements of each individual farm, in order to tailor advice and treatment accordingly.

In early 2005 we were proud to become an RCVS accredited Farm Animal Practice.

Our surgery at Chancellors Pound, Redhill is located in the centre of our practice area. It is easily accessible from the A38. The surgery enjoys remarkable views over the Chew Valley, Mendip Hills and to the Bristol Channel.

We are proud to be the Honorary Veterinary Surgeons for the North Somerset Agricultural Society Annual Show, Somerset Young Farmers Rally 2007 and advisors to the Bristol Balloon Fiesta. We have strong links with and work alongside organisations such as Alta genetics and BOCM Pauls.

In March 2007 Tibbs and Simmons acquired Summer Lane Veterinary Centre from Furniss and Morton. This enabled the practice to expand the farm animal section to five members all dedicated to farm animal vetting. Whilst the small animal practice now has a dedicated team of small animal vets. Any small animals or pets seen at our Redhill surgery can be referred to Summer Lane for further investigation if required.
