Tibbs and Simmons main small animal branch is at Summer Lane Veterinary Centre, although we also see small animals for consultations at the Farm Practice in Redhill. We treat all small animals from all walks of life from children's hamsters, to working gundogs, and aim to tailor our services to the individual client.

Our practice runs an experienced, and friendly service with dedicated small animal vets, and nurses. We currently have four small animal vets, Melanie David, Penny Taylor, Suzy Wheeler and Karen Wilson. Both Penny and Suzy are full time vets, Melanie works at Summer Lane on a Monday, Wednesday and some Saturday mornings. Karen consults at Redhill during the week, and sometimes at Summer Lane covering holidays .

Our team of nurses are qualified or undergoing training with the RCVS, they perform nurse clinics, assist the vets with surgical procedures, care for inpatients, and are able to offer advice no matter how trivial the question. We are also a training practice for the University of Bristol, and take both their vet students and nurses, for training within the profession.

Both our small and farm animal practices are RCVS Accredited, which means the practices undergoes rigorous inspection to ensure your pet is getting the correct care and attention it deserves. RCVS Accreditation is a voluntary quality assurance programme, so not all veterinary practices undergo such inspections to ensure their care is of the highest standards. We feel this is important to us to give our clients peace of mind, and ourselves a sense of achievement in the service we provide.
